The Summer months have flown by at Fraunces Tavern, and as the season sizzles to an end, we look forward to all that #Fall has to offer.

We love to support local brewers, so what better brewery to take over our taps in September than Ommegang of Cooperstown, NY? Their brewery stands on the site of a former hop farm and was the first farmstead brewery built in the United States in over a hundred years. Ommegang’s tap takeover brought 9 beers on draft as well as selected bottles, including the annual release of #Hopstate. This all-American amber ale is made exclusively with NY state hops. Hopstate is Ommegang’s ode to the hard work of New York’s hop farmers in their efforts to breathe life back into the state’s hop industry.

September’s #HappyHour Beer of the month is Bells’ Lager of the Lakes. This bohemian style pilsner blends firm malt and herbal hop bitterness, “as refreshing and crisp as a swim in the Great Lakes.”

We invite you to join us for #Oysterfest 2016, the weekend of September 23rd-25th. Enjoy a pint of our world famous Oyster Stout and three freshly shucked East Coast oysters for just $12. The Porterhouse Brewing Company’s Oyster Stout, “the only authentic oyster stout”, is a smooth and rounded brew with a sweetness derived from fresh oysters shucked into the conditioning tank! It’s no wonder this superbly balanced beer is a best-seller and goes so well with fresh oysters.

Fall in New York means apple-picking season and to us, apples mean cider! Our annual #CraftCiderFest will take place from late September to November and will showcase some of the very best craft ciders America has to offer. Keep an eye on our social media for more details.

We are also looking forward to the launch of a new German beer, just in time for Octoberfest. Our Octoberfest beer line-up is still in the works, so watch out on our social media for more updates!

Here’s to a great Fall season at Fraunces Tavern!
